Public Trainings - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Course Description –

In this five-hour course, we will enable workers to identify and select personal protective equipment based on the identified hazards of the application. The curriculum includes construction and general industry applications covering selection criteria, limitations, and maintenance. During this course, the instructor will cover the basic concepts and standards of personal protective equipment as per OSHA regulations 1910.132-138. Several important concepts will be covered in detail, including general requirements, hazard assessment, employee-owned equipment and employer responsibilities

  • Head Protection
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Eye Protection
  • Hearing Protection
  • Fall Protection

Who Should Attend?

This class is designed for anyone that uses personal protective equipment.  In addition, Supervisors and Managers, as they are the ones choosing the correct PPE and enforcing their proper use.

CEUs –

Participants will receive a course completion certificate and earn .5 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DS/DW/WW02099008) upon successful completion of the course.
