Course Description –

Learn how to plan, organize, create and deliver performance-based safety training that truly engages employees and improves your organization’s safety practices.  This course provides a solid understanding of needs analysis, performance objectives, instructional strategy and methods, content, delivery evaluation and costs, so you can make educated decisions about the safety training needs to your workforce.

This four-day training is challenging and interactive.  It combines instructor-led training with group and independent activities, providing an opportunity to apply concepts to a variety of safety and health scenarios.  This course will cover all the issues you’ll likely face as the person responsible for safety training.

This course satisfies ANSI Standard Z490.1 criteria for accepted practices in safety, health and environmental training.  Trainees will learn proven techniques in needs analysis, performance objectives, instructional strategy, delivery methods, cost evaluation and more.

Thru this course, we will provide participants with knowledge and skills on:

  • Identify and understand the most common adult learning styles
  • Complete a training needs analysis
  • Utilize the five phases of a performance-based training process
  • Design and develop training projects in safety settings
  • Select, design and use modern media successfully
  • Calculate direct and indirect training costs

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for safety training in their organization, manager, supervisors, human resources representatives, and/or employees who are responsible for planning, developing and delivering safety and health training programs.

 Materials/CEU’s –

A Participant Guide containing reference materials, self-assessments, and checklists is provided for each attendee.  Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a course completion certificate.  Each student will also earn 2.6 CEU’s from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.  Completion of Safety Training Methods qualifies the participant to pursue the NSC Advance Safety Certificate, a nationally recognized safety program that sharpens safety and leadership skills so one can drive fundamental safety change throughout their organization
