Public Trainings - Safety Inspections

Course Description –

This course provides an overview of the safety and health inspection process. It also examines specific techniques to improve the process and addresses basic skills for conducting various types of inspections and eliminating potential hazards. Participants will be provided with the knowledge necessary to meet regulatory requirements and positively impact their organization injury prevention efforts through discussions, demonstrations, and exercises. They will learn to focus on finding facts, not faults, and how to use safety inspections to reinforce safe practices and behaviors.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a course completion certificate. Each student will also earn .65 CEU’s from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.

  • Develop recommendations and follow up
  • Manage an effective inspection program
  • What to inspect and where to gather information
  • Handling employee reactions to the inspection process
  • Analyzing data and setting priorities
  • Involve employees in the inspection process

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for those responsible for conducting or supervising safety inspections. Those responsible for training industrial safety and/or health inspectors should also attend.

Materials/CEU’s–

A Participant Guide containing reference materials, safety inspection forms, and checklists is provided for each attendee. Participants will receive a course completion certificate upon successfully completing the course and will earn .6 CEUs from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.
