Public Trainings - Lockout/Tagout

Course Description –

This course will provide authorized workers with the knowledge to follow the step-by-step procedures for isolating equipment during maintenance and services using such techniques as lock-out tag-out, lockbox, blinding, disconnect and misalign, double block and bleed, and single valve isolation. Students will learn how to detect hazardous conditions and implement control measures as they relate to the control of hazardous energy, written isolation procedures, training for authorized and affected employees, and periodic inspection of energy control procedures. The training course emphasizes each employee’s responsibilities during those procedures using practice exercises and simulations.

This course will provide great benefits to any operator or employee working with processes where lock-out tag-out may be required. Operatives/Employees working with machines or equipment in which the sudden release of energy could cause injury or damage and persons with Technical executive function. This course will also provide outstanding benefits to any Qualified Supervisors within an Energy Isolation environment or any other plant or construction personnel directly responsible for performing Safe Process Isolations.

CEU’s –

Participants will receive a course completion certificate and earn .7 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DS/DW/WW02099004) upon successful completion of the course.
